6:30 a.m. –  The first thing I do in the morning is drink a cup of tea while I read the latest news — in this field, it’s essential to stay informed! Once I’m dressed, I pack my work bag with my laptop, notebook, headphones and reusable water bottle and drive to work.

9 a.m. – As soon as I arrive at the office, I check my emails, Slack messages and Outlook calendar before finalizing my daily agenda. Then I prepare for our team meeting.

9:45 a.m. – Every Tuesday, we have a team meeting to discuss our client's top priorities and current trends in the news. While enjoying bagels and coffee, we share our priorities for the week and brainstorm new ideas for our clients.

10:45 a.m. – After our meeting, I work on social media calendars for various accounts and post news updates to LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook for our clients.

11:45 a.m. I usually spend the late morning preparing for client calls. I monitor and track media coverage, draft call agendas and compile updates on outstanding items.

1 p.m. – Time for lunch! Violet PR’s office is within walking distance of the many great shops and restaurants in Montclair, New Jersey. My favorite place to grab lunch is Tacoria; they have excellent burritos, bowls and tacos.

2 p.m. – Back in the office! I attend client calls and complete any client work needed by the end of the day. I routinely draft pitches, press releases and media lists for upcoming news announcements.

3 p.m. – I move on to business development tasks for Violet PR. I often help compile business proposals, slide decks and case studies for new business endeavors.

4 p.m. – During the last hour of the day, I brainstorm ideas for Violet PR’s TikTok account and continue to track ongoing media opportunities.

5 p.m. – When I’ve completed my tasks for the day, I prepare my agenda for the next day, check Slack messages and email and then head out for the night!

6 p.m. Time for dinner — I usually eat salmon, pasta, or grilled chicken. After I eat, I unwind by watching a favorite show or spending some time reading.

8 p.m. – I go to the gym for a workout.

10 p.m. Time to shower and get some rest for a new day at Violet PR!
