Violet PR Triumphs at 2023 PRSA-NJ Pyramid Awards

At Violet PR, we've always believed in the power of exceptional public relations work. This belief was celebrated in grand style at the 2023 Public Relations Society of America New Jersey (PRSA-NJ) Pyramid Awards as our agency clinched a staggering nine prestigious PR awards, including the coveted 'Best in Show' for the second consecutive year.

It's an incredible recognition for an independently owned agency of just 13 full-time staff to beat out the largest firms in the state for the 'Best in Show' prize and the most awards total. Whether it's promoting electric vehicles, robotics, clean carbon or Pride, our team continues to execute some of the country's most high-profile, impactful economic development public relations campaigns. I am so proud of my team for their continued hard work and success!

This year, Violet PR's work on behalf of the Kansas City Area Development Council took the spotlight. Titled "Panasonic Selects Kansas City for a $4B Electric Vehicle Facility," the campaign not only secured 'Best in Show' but also won the Pyramid award in the "PR on a Shoestring Budget" category and an honorable mention in the "Media Relations" category.

The results set this campaign apart: our team secured 348 media placements in Forbes, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, NBC, Tech Crunch, MarketWatch, Reuters, NASDAQ, Financial Times, and many others. The coverage garnered an estimated 21 million coverage views.

Additionally, Violet PR received recognition on behalf of four other clients:

  • "From Steel City to Tech Town: Pittsburgh's Rise as the Global Epicenter of Innovation" on behalf of the Allegheny Conference on Economic Development – Reputation Management (Pyramid); Media Relations (Honorable Mention)

  • "The Peach State Goes Electric" on behalf of the Georgia Department of Economic Development – Public Affairs (Pyramid); Media Relations (Honorable Mention)

  • "C-Valley: A Clean Carbon Initiative in Wyoming" on behalf of Campbell County, Wyoming - Integrated Marketing (Pyramid)

  • "Promoting Topeka's First Pride Festival" on behalf of the Greater Topeka Partnership – Diversity and Inclusion (Honorable Mention)

These awards are a testament to Violet PR's unwavering commitment to excellence in the field of public relations. It's also a testament to the fantastic partnership we share with our clients and the impactful work we do together.

In addition to the agency awards, PRSA-NJ recognized Violet PR's intern, Benjiman Argen, from Rutgers University's School of Communication and Information, as its 2023 "Future PR Professional." This award honors an undergraduate student who demonstrates a sophisticated understanding of and commitment to the public relations profession.

I would like to thank our clients, partners and our dedicated team for making these achievements possible. We look forward to continuing to deliver high-impact public relations campaigns that tell our clients' stories and drive results. Thank you to PRSA-NJ for this honor, and congratulations to all the winners and participants who inspire us to excel in our industry.
